Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mobile technology, a deep understanding of the Android platform, and a proven track record of creating innovative and user-friendly applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Responsibilities
Design and Build: Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Troubleshoot: Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Testing: Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions and ensure robustness and reliability.
Documentation: Maintain code and write detailed technical documentation.
User Feedback: Analyze user requirements, understand user feedback, and optimize application usability.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven working experience in Android app development with a strong portfolio of released applications on the Google Play Store.
Languages: Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Tools and Frameworks: Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
APIs and Web Services: Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
Version Control: Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
UI/UX: Experience with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Libraries and Tools: Knowledge of Android libraries and tools such as Dagger, Retrofit, Room, RxJava, etc.
Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
