The Linux System Administrator Intern will provide support to the IT team in maintaining and troubleshooting Linux systems. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in resolving technical requests and monitoring alerts.
Provide support for issues within the scope of the role and according to team guidelines.
Learn and contribute to team escalations and prioritize and manage multiple open tickets.
Assist in incident management and identification.
Handle basic technical support tickets from web hosting customers under supervision.
Key Performance Indicators:
Learn and contribute to ticket resolution through supervised support.
Assist in other duties assigned by the team, such as documentation and process improvement.
Contribute to a positive learning experience and team dynamic.
Person Specification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Strong interest in Linux systems and willingness to learn.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and learn from experienced professionals.
Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
Desirable:
Passion or interest in Linux systems is the only Desirable requirement.
