Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Platform Engineer to join our IT Support and Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of platforms, and providing top-tier technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable IT infrastructure to support business operations.
Ensure the continuous performance, availability, and security of platforms and services.
Provide technical support for resolving platform-related issues and incidents.
Implement monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.
Integrate various IT systems and services to ensure seamless operation and data flow.
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline IT operations and reduce manual interventions.
Enforce security best practices to protect systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or platform engineering.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux)
Experience with networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently
Familiarity with ITIL practices
