Summary: As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements using COBOL. Your typical day will involve working with Job Control Language (JCL), IBM DB2 Database Administration, and Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) to develop and maintain applications. Mainframe platform knowledge and experience at Senior level. -COBOL, DB2, IMS, TWS/JCL, DL/1 Roles & Responsibilities: – Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements using COBOL. – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize application requirements. – Develop and maintain application code using COBOL, Job Control Language (JCL), IBM DB2 Database Administration, and Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM). – Perform unit testing and debugging of application code to ensure high-quality deliverables. – Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application issues. Professional & Technical Skills: – Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in COBOL. – Good To Have Skills: Job Control Language (JCL), IBM DB2 Database Administration, Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), IMS, TWS/JCL, DL/1 – Strong understanding of application development principles and methodologies. – Experience with unit testing and debugging of application code. – Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes. – Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Additional Information: – The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in COBOL. – The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality applications. – This position is based at our Bengaluru office. Must have minimum 15 years of full time education. Must have Good Communication skill.
