Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Video Editor Intern to join our team. This internship provides an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in video editing and production. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video, strong technical skills, and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in editing raw footage into engaging and polished videos.
Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts and storyboards.
Incorporate visual effects, transitions, and other elements to enhance the overall quality of videos.
Trim and rearrange footage to improve pacing and narrative flow.
Add music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the storytelling process.
Color correct and adjust video footage to maintain visual consistency.
Assist with the organization and management of video assets and project files.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing software and techniques.
Support the production team during video shoots and other related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a film production, digital media, communications, or related program.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong understanding of video editing techniques, including pacing, timing, and storytelling.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
A portfolio showcasing video editing projects (academic or personal projects are acceptable).
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
Experience with color grading and correction techniques.
Knowledge of audio editing and mixing.
Familiarity with camera operation and basic cinematography principles.
