Responsibilities:
1. Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch based on design specifications and client requirements.
2. Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project needs.
3. Collaborate with design and development teams to implement website features and functionalities.
4. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following WordPress coding standards.
5. Troubleshoot and debug issues with WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
6. Optimize website performance and ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
7. Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.
8. Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal teams as needed.
9. Contribute to the planning and estimation of WordPress development projects.
10. Document code and project processes for future reference.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
2. In-depth knowledge of WordPress CMS, themes, and plugins.
3. Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
4. Experience with WordPress theme development using frameworks like Underscores or Bootstrap.
5. Expertise in custom WordPress plugin development and integration.
6. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with popular WordPress page builders like Elementor or Visual Composer.
2. Knowledge of SEO best practices and WordPress SEO plugins like Yoast SEO.
3. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce.
4. Understanding of web accessibility standards and techniques.
5. Experience with web server configurations and hosting environments.
